Colegio Altair and Blue Valley School active in ‘Model United Nations’ event


During May of this year, Colegio Altair in Lima hosted its first Model United Nations (MUN) event. The project originated as an initiative of students from the IB Diploma programme. The project was created as a platform to spark interesting discussions and forge new relations among schools in Peru.

The students of Altair planned and organised all the details of this event. The project demanded their dedication, and the students were faced with several challenges.

More than 250 students, representing 16 schools from Lima, attended the MUN event. The delegations were impressed with the structure of the conference and by the thorough planning on the part of the Altair students.

The students witnessed discussions, negotiations and debates. Overall, it was an enriching and empowering experience for the attendees of the conference. Guests reported that the event was an immense success.
