Students at École Riviera have been focusing on creative development in their current school term. With a series of exciting art related events and remarkable exhibitions featuring local artists, there has certainly not been a lack of inspiration going around.
Their immersion began during our Swiss Arts Week. This collaboration between local artists and teachers provided an enriching experience for all of our pupils. The creation of beautiful street art, Manga art and the Swiss traditional style of ‘Decoupage’, culminated in an impressive exhibition. Our Parents' Association also organised a constructive day with the Kapla organisation from Lyon.
All of our pupils worked together in creating and assembling wooden masterpieces. This was followed by our International Family Day in May. The dynamic partnership between families and school staff made for a culturally rich and festive day.
International Day celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our students and their role as global citizens. The day broadens students’ horizons and provides them with opportunities to learn more about the interesting cultures of their companions. Food, languages and customs are explored, helping students form a greater understanding of their own place in the broader community.
