St. George’s International School (SGIS) is celebrating a host of recent successes, including a number of High Attainment Awards which once again confirm our reputation for excellence in diverse areas.

In the sports category, Mikhail Gudimenko, Alex Case, Pauline Mooney, Anastasis Kosolompova and Badrinur Mokaeve won awards for top achievements in tennis, dancing, golf, synchronised swimming and ice skating respectively. They have all competed at local and international level. While celebrating these wonderful achievements, we also acknowledge the outstanding contributions of staff members in helping our students develop and become influential global citizens.

Our Librarian, Mary Beth Romo, has been honoured by the San José State University School of Information with their 2018 Director’s Award for Excellence in International Contribution. This is one of five awards given to Master’s degree graduates who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the field of Library and Information Science.

Mary Beth was given this award based on her creation of our outstanding St. George’s Library website. Watch her acceptance speech to the Student Awards and Scholarship Committee here:
