International School of Siena looks forward to opportunities their new campus will offer

The ‘laying of the first stone’ ceremony was held at the site of our new building on Via Milanesi. This momentous occasion was attended by Dr. Stephen Spurr (Group Education Director, Inspired), Marc Ledermann (CEO, Inspired Europe), Dr. Rino Rappuoli (CEO, GSK Vaccines Italy), Fulvio Mancuso (Deputy Mayor of Siena) and Victoria Watson (Principal, International School of Siena).

International School of Siena (IS Siena) has developed and progressed over the past seven years thanks to the dedication and support of the whole school community and ISE Inspired Management. This is the stage of an exciting journey to enjoying premium facilities and the space to offer more students the opportunity to engage with the International Baccalaureate (IB) educational programmes in Siena and surrounding areas.

The school is already fully authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) to deliver the Primary Years and Middle Years (PYP) Programmes. It is a wonderful achievement that they have recently been recognised by the IB as a candidate school for the IB Diploma programme (16 – 18 years) which it will begin to teach from September 2019. This is a very important process for the school as it engages in discussions and plans for the delivery of the Diploma programme for their oldest students. IS Siena looks forward to becoming an IB World School which offers three IB programmes across the continuum in the future.
