Lucrezia Cogliati and Suleika Fiumi, from the International School of Milan (ISM), achieved superb grades in their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and beat other top students around the world to win prestigious places at the University of Oxford. With almost 20 000 students applying for undergraduate courses at Oxford each year, the scale of the girls’ achievement is obvious to all their teachers and fellow students at ISM.
Both Lucrezia and Suleika were outstanding students whilst at ISM. In particular, Lucrezia is a talented linguist and Suleika demonstrated her exceptional mathematical skills on a regular basis. Furthermore, both were able to achieve at the highest level in all their subjects displaying a diligence and determination essential for students wishing to attend one of the best universities in the world.
Lucrezia leaves ISM to read Oriental Studies whilst Suleika is reading Economics and Management at Hertford and St. Catherine’s colleges respectively. ISM is very proud of both girls and hope it demonstrates clearly the value of determination, hard work, and an ISM Inspired education.
