By January 2018, Inspired will have opened two more boarding schools, bringing the total to five across Europe and Africa.
In September this year, International School of Milan (IS Milan) and St Louis School will welcome a joint boarding facility in Via Marcantonio Colonna, Milan, Italy. Boutique style boarding at Reddam House Helderfontein in Johannesburg, South Africa will house its first students in January 2018, joining our already well established boarding schools: Reddam House Berkshire in Wokingham, UK, Brookhouse Karen in Nairobi, Kenya and St George’s International School in Montraux, Switzerland.
The addition of the new boarding houses solidifies the group’s footprint across the globe and provides an exciting opportunity to share expertise and best practice between the various facilities. Inspired boarding's 'home-away-from-home' experience enables each student to benefit from the care, empathy and global understanding needed to become responsible and independent citizens.
Our boarding schools answer to the ever-changing lives of modern families. Traditional termly boarders benefit from a family atmosphere and the many weekend activities on offer. Some of our schools also employ weekly and flexi-boarding. The demands on working parents and commuting times seem to be increasing every year and even with secondary age children, parents need to know that their son or daughter is being looked after and supported whilst parents are travelling for work. Reddam House Berkshire, for example, offers a variety of flexible boarding options designed to offer students a safe home-away-from-home and provides parents with complete peace of mind.
Boarding life encourages collaboration, communication, compromise and camaraderie 24 hours a day. To support the holistic development, students have access to educational, cultural and sporting activities seven days a week. After- school hours and weekends are filled with various fun activities. The boarding house staff liaise daily with Heads of Houses, tutors and teachers to ensure that students’ progress is monitored effectively.
