A FEW WORDS
FROM ST. MATTHEW HEADMASTER
As a school, our goal is to create responsible global citizens with enthusiasm for learning and an understanding of the need for respect of self and others. In order to achieve this, it is vital that our children are fully supported at home and school. To this end we commit, as an institution to working with parents as we strive for excellence and embrace new challenges while celebrating the traditions and philosophy of our vibrant school.
Early Learning School
As a school, we aim for our students to mature into outstanding human beings, global citizens and formidable industry leaders. To achieve this, we have designed activities and programmes which positively contribute to their capabilities and encourage them to continually question the unknown and evaluate different viewpoints through debate and effective decision-making. In them, we reinforce the importance of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation through the conceptualising and execution of various projects.
Elementary and Highschool
School entry is a fundamental milestone in the lives of young children. For this reason, we have created a pleasant environment in our Early Learning School where movement and experimentation are the basis of their education. We also aim to cultivate habits and routines which bolster their self-esteem, bringing them closer to learning with love and affection. At our Early Learning School, we promote game playing for the development of motor skills and focus on instilling the value of solidarity as an essential element in their development.
OUR FOUR STUDENT HOUSES
At San Mateo, we promote the union of our vibrant community. For this reason, we have adopted the community model of Anglo-Saxon education and organised our school into four student houses. These houses compete with each other year-round in different sports and artistic pursuits, thereby building a spirit of healthy competition, based on fellowship, fraternity and teamwork.
